Bug Description

when I open 'update manager' i get the following message:

E:The package virtualbox needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

Once I click okay to the message my 'update manager' shuts down blocking me from using it.

I reviewed and tried all of the suggestions from Ted's link. None of these worked for me. I'm stuck on this one.
My system worked fine until I decided to try Virtual Box. I'm very sorry that I did. Reading VB's technical forum, it sounds like there are many many issues with that software.
If anyone has any new ideas on this or if I have to start from scratch, please let me know.
