Sometimes Slingshot looks like unfocused and keyboard can't be used

I still encounter this bug.
Also, when I set a hot corner to "Show Apps" and use it it seems to always work correctly from there.
But either with keyboard shortcut(Alt+F2) or clicking "Applications" on the left side of the Wing Panel makes this bug appear most of the time(if I open and close it all the time, it eventually appears normally).

When not on category view this bug seems to not appear(although I get another bug there).

Testing more, trying to get to the bottom of this(since I wasn't doing very well with the source code), it seems to me his is somehow connected to the following bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/slingshot/+bug/1100451 .
You might want to look at the screenshot I have attached there.
By settings columns to 6(so now 5 appear), I somehow don't get this bug. I also don't get this bug in "Search Mode"(when not in Category mode), where with default settings I get 6(instead of 5) columns and the category chooser not clickable on top of the 6th one(see screenshot in other bug report.
Setting columns to 5 returns me to having slingshot unfocused like 4 out of 5 times I open it and I can't write in the searchbar in any way(even if I click on it, it seems to remain unfocused and the highlighted category is gray instead of blue, even when I click a category and change it).
Setting columns on dconf to a number equal or less than 5 generally seems to produce this bug and the other one I mentioned, while with 6 through 8 I don't get either.

I'm completely clueless about this bug, so any info might be useful. I can assure you it's not connected with the bug you linked, this bug was present even before I accidentally introduced that one. On the other hand, knowing that it happens in CategoryView only could be interesting.

Sadly I can't reproduce it, could you please provide more info? Like each step that reproduces the error, or could you record a screencast?

Somehow, I can't reproduce it now. But I switched from daily PPA to full elementary as well(successfully installed OS specific patches), don't know it is somehow connected.
There was no slingshot update in between, but it just stopped happening.(I had tried resetting all kinds of settings before, even deleting all dconf settings, so it wasn't a settings issue), so maybe it was linked to an non patched/downgraded elementary package I guess.

Although the one column seems to still be missing. It says fix committed there, so I guess we will soon have an update.

Yeah, the fix has been submitted a few hours ago, so it could appear in the
updates in 1/2 days. It's great to know it doesn't happen anymore to you :)

In Slingshot version: 0.7.2, i have same problem. Please fix
