Bug Description
It worked fine in precise, but in quantal when I connect to one of my w2k3 servers the cpu ussage of this rdesktop process goes immidiately to 15% and stays there until i disconnect.

I *think* I'm bumping into the same issue. However, I was noticing this from the network side of resource usage. While connected to a certain Windows Terminal Server, looking at a Windows lock screen my network bandwidth usage is around 10Mbit with 10k (!) ethernet frames per second.
Could you verify this also happens with you? (Use for example Wireshark for diagnostics)
I'm on rdesktop version 1.7.1-1ubuntu2 on Ubuntu 14.04.
