It is like this since i upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04.
I installed Pidgin, Empathy and Skype (+skype-wrapper), they're not shown. Nor dos indicator-messages show me options to switch my status (e.g. "Hidden", "Away", "Available")
I attached a screenshot. In this screenshot i opened indicator-message and had pidgin running. There is no entry for pidgin nor an entry to set my status.
The "Enevelope-Menu" in Unity only shows me Gwibber and Thunderbird. Those two entries are working well (they're showing unread mail-counts and such)

Hi Octavian, thanks for reporting this bug.
We've changed the way applications talk to the messaging menu (through a new API called libmessaging-menu). Not all applications have been ported yet, including piding and skype-wrapper. Porting applications is tracked in bug #1040259 (pidgin was already on it and I've add skype-wrappeR). Feel free to add any applications there that are not yet listed.
To see the empathy in the messaging menu, you need "telepathy- indicator" installed.
I don't think we need to keep this bug open, as we're already tracking this issue in the other bug. Do you agree?
