Bug Description

I think it would be helpful to have additional argument values to 'wait' command with 'until' argument name according to certain phenomena.

Example:
I'm writing a script which has 'date load current' command at the beginning. I want to say few introductory words to the public first, then fast forward to Sun's transit with meridian visible. Now I'm doing it so: timerate rate 1800, meridian on after 3 seconds, pause on remote when Sun is on meridian. Then I want to let the Sun quickly set and stop when it's on the horizon.

Rob Spearman proposed a workaround for this (https://answers.launchpad.net/nightshade/+question/205568) but it's quite complex and time consuming to keep the script up-to-date. If I do the show every day for few months, it is very hard to achieve. If I'm using 'date load current' command, I don't know what is sunrise time and equation of time (I need transit - real solar noon) on current date and have to manually calculate it for given date.

Is it possible to add something like:

wait until BODY altitude x azimuth y

for given BODY - planet, Sun, Moon, named/HP number star; altitude/azimuth could be used together or interchangeable (alt+az, alt, az)

or even:

     wait until BODY transit/rise/set

for the Sun and/or the Moon?

"I agree with Rob that using it in a wait command would be difficult and hasardous to do the job.
What I propose would be to have a command that move the date to the rise/set/transit of the sun.
That's correponding to the needs of many users. Other options would be more complex and not that useful."

I simply wanted the feature to be well defined before we decide how best to implement it.

A suggest from another planetarian was that scripting support advancing to a time where a particular body had a given altitude above the horizon. This would allow an easy way to show the Sun position at sunrise throughout a year, etc. Obviously there would need to be a distinction between rise and set altitudes.

One risk is that the altitude never matches, so there needs to be a way to prevent getting stuck.

Also, it should be possible to put a duration on the date/time change to make this a smooth transition.
