Tried various suggested fixes from Google/Ubuntu but nothing worked. Fresh install on new PC

Is this the same bug as bug #996245 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/996245)? In that case the threads might be merged?
