"Scene Info: Volume & Area" Info box shows garbage data

Bug Description
The volume and area info displayed in wings3d show garbage.
Steps to reproduce:
Start wings3d
Create a standard shape, e.g. a cube with side length 2.0 via "right click" - "cube".
From the "Tools" menu, select "Scene Info: Area & Volume"
Expected bahaviour:
The value "24.000000" is dislayed In the area column, the value "8.000000" is displayed in the Volume column (i.e. the correct surface and volume of a cube with side length 2.0)
Actual behaviour:
Garbage data is displayed:
"50524648484848
Remark:
If one splits the garbage output into groups of two digits and interpretes thes two-digit numbers as ASCII codes, one obtains the characer sequences "24.000000" and "8.000000".
