Bug Description
This syntax error is easily fixed but the function/procedure containing this error has obviously never been tested so I'm feeling very hesitant to test it on my system and to do that it seems that I have to fix it on the install ISO image and I will have to learn how to do that since it seems to me an ISO image cannot be simply edited since it's meant to be read only.
Also, this undermines my confidence in boot-repair a program which one would clearly like to be totally confident with.
I searched for this error and found this post from 4 months ago which was never attended to:
https:/
which seems to be, in essence, identical to my problem.
I've attached the Boot Info Summary from my system on which the error occurred.
I'm not sure I really need a boot repair job but my M$W system will not boot so I thought I should run boot-repair before advancing any further with my trouble shooting or M$W re-installation which I am extremely leery will abolish my Linux system.
Of course I would be very pleased with an aggressively expedited update of boot-repair with this bug fixed and the fixed function/procedure tested.
Fyi: I've also had this issue and I've fixed the syntax error (https:/ /askubuntu. com/a/1451080/ 271452), and was able to repair my broken boot successfully.
