Froyo browser handles the 1-finger drag to pan, but seems to miss 2-finger pinch-to-zoom.

Can someone who has access to this combo please confirm if the browser JavaScript can receive multitouch events? There's nothing that specifically turns on multitouch for iOS devices - we simply register for the touchstart, etc events. If this browser/os/hardware combo was generating those events it shoudl work.
