It seems meld 1.3.1 contains lots of bugfixes and very usefull fullscreen view, please, update meld package in Ubuntu and backport it to Jaunty and Karmic.

Meld 1.3.1 has been released!
As well as the usual batch of improvements, there have been a lot of little issues and inconsistencies fixed in this release, thanks to lots of great contributions. Between cursor-warping improvements, corner case fixes, and some speed-ups, the editing experience should now be much smoother.
