Bug Description
I think unity (or the presence chooser component top-right of the screen) should restore the last presence at startup. So if I was online when I shutdown my PC, I should be online when I boot it. This is what gnome-shell does.
Since I switched from gnome-shell to unity, I have often coworkers complaining that I'm offline on XMPP so they cannot IM me. This is because it is annoying to have to remember to change my presence after every session login.
-------
Desired resolution:
- Unity would remember the User's current 'online presence' status between sessions.
