OpenOffice does not use customised icon when opening saved documents

Bug Description
I have set a custom icon for OpenOffice and when I run OpenOffice the icon shows up. However, If I just launch a saved file that I have on my desktop OpenOffice seems to go through a series of icons as it loads before finishing on the original non customised icon (which I can not find anywhere to change).
Sometimes minimising and then maximising the document will cause the icon to change to the customised one, restarting awn also brings up the correct icon.
This is on the lastest trunk version, but I believe has always been a problem.
