Center clicking on certain apps opens preferences and not new window

This issue still occurs for me with bzr12.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add OpenOffice Word Proccessor or The Gimp to AWN dock
2. Left click on icon, opening first window
3. Center click on same icon

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I should expect to see another window open and the associated icon appear
in the dock. Instead, Avant preferences opens up with its icon showing up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Whatever the svn is, ubuntu Feisty 7.04

Please provide any additional information below.

So far, this happens with The Gimp and OpenOffice apps. There could very
well be more...
