Bug Description

Sometimes opening a submenu in the CairoMenu applet make it appear over the existing menu making difficult to select a different choice. It behaves as if there is a window next to it, thus overlapping the previous menu. See image.
The bug seems not to be reproduceable at will.

Using AWN bzr198 and AWNextras bzr356.

Thanks for the bug report. It does this to me occasionally also. Been meaning to have a look into why... I'll try to get to it this week.

as an additional note. I've noted that a smaller font size seems to make it happen less frequently. Though it does still occur.

I'm moving this status back to "In Progress" for some reason I'm still seeing the issue occasionally.

I cannot reproduce this bug at wil (yet), but it seems it mostly affects the Audio submenu (at least on my system).
I think it doesn't depends on the number of submenu items, because other ones (such as Accesories) have more of them.
Well, hope that helps, I really like this applet, so simple and usable for my tastes, and I would really to see it at its best!

rev 1063 may have a fix for the issue. I cannot reproduce this issue on cue (seemingly like everyone else) but I have not seen in since introducing this fix. That doesn't mean it isn't still present and waiting to popup in a day/week.

Leaving bug "in progress" for a few days to confirm if issue is truly resolved.

Recently I'm getting a new effect quite often: a sub menu popping up disconnected and inches above where it should be (see picture). Currently I am using 0.3.3~bzr564-1.9.04 on Jaunty.

Dirk,

Could you open a new bug for this? Please include the Window Manager in use. My suspicion is that it is Metacity as I've had a previous report of a similar issue while using Metacity. Thanks.

I'm still seeing with with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty

awn-manager 0.3.2

I can almost always reproduce the bug if I hover the mouse over the "Internet" or "Accessories" menus. The submenu will overlap the main menu. Since the submenu is long, it completely covers the main menu.
