Bug Description

Another bug.

When I fire up RB, and enable the Autoqueue plugin, I'll select a song to play - "Benign" by Oleander, let's say. This song starts playing, (the gui gets blocked -- bug #535144), and then a song ("Steal A Car" by 7 Mary 3) gets added to my queue.

Once Oleander finishes playing, RB crashes. If I run with "rhythmbox -D autoqueue", I get the following output in the terminal:

RhythmDB:ERROR:rhythmdb.c:1220:rhythmdb_read_enter: assertion failed: (rb_is_main_thread ())
Aborted

Let me know if there's more I can do to help debug.

Hmm, that is definitely something I have not seen before. Is there nothing else before that error in the terminal output? I'll try to reproduce this locally, in the meantime (probably not today, though)

I ran RB with "rhythmbox -d" to show all debug output. I then made sure the Autoqueue plugin was enabled, and let it check the database. I scrapped that log. Then, I played a song (30 Seconds to Mars) and let autoqueue put a new song in the queue (Breaking Benjamin). Then I skipped ahead to the end of the 1st song. When it started trying to play Breaking Benjamin, it choked. This part of the log, I saved.

I tried to clean out some repeated messages (ticks and slider moved messages), and I posted it on pastebin.

I'm marking this from Incomplete back to New... I hope that's correct.

If there's anything else I can add, let me know. Oh, and disregard the Destiny's Child... it uhh... belongs to my wife. :)

Thanks!

The errors in the log do not seem to be related to autoqueue, but I'm not 100%. I can't reproduce it here, but that may be due to another fix I just added, for the unresponsive UI. Can you try and reproduce the behavior with trunk? And if it still happens, what exactly preceded the crash? (i.e. what did you click to skip to the end of the song? I tried both the >> button and dragging the slider control to the end.)

Don't worry about the Destiny's Child, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of, (or if it is, I have much much worse to worry about in my library,) but your secret is safe with, ehh, the internet ;)
