autopilot-gtk hangs when launching an app on saucy

Bug Description
Try a simple test with the following:
self.launch_
And it will seem to be stuck, never leaving that call (unless you close the app, where it eventually notices and exits).
Am I making some newbie mistake or does it really just not work?
