The current python-artoolkit available in https://dogfood.launchpad.net/~cprov/+archive is broken:

Code is available is my branch http://www.gwyddion.com/~cprov/public_repo/artoolkit/artk-main/ and the new package (version 2.72.1-ubuntu2~ppa4) is available from http://ppa.dogfood.launchpad.net/cprov/ubuntu feisty main (see https://dogfood.launchpad.net/~cprov/+archive for more information)
