Bug Description
This is a vanilla bug.
Quite often when a Gap Generator reshrouds an area it will act strange, even covering friendly units which have sight in the area and can only be revealed by leaving the area and returning again. Sometimes this shroud can only be removed by revealing a nearby area as well.
The first image is where my own unit (which is selected) was covered by the shroud and moving around made no difference.

The second image is the newly deployed Construction Yard of my ally. The visible ring is the vision range of the Con Yard but after a second it got reshrouded in the middle. It will only be revealed when my ally builds up and unveils the area again.

I'll also note that when its growth is enabled (so it spreads from the gap generator), shroud generated by gap generators will cover immobile units and structures after some time, and you'll have to move your units around in order to be able to see anything at all. Apparently the game doesn't really care for unit sight when gap gen shroud is recreated.
