Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 13.10
Release: 13.10

brendy@brendyLaptop:~$ apt-cache policy lxpanel
lxpanel:
  Installed: 0.6.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.6.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 0.6.1-0ubuntu1 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
I expecter the desktop switcher applet to highlight the desktop I currently am on in blue and have a box outline like I had in raring. This goes away if I click on a window but not if I start typing into an irc client or website. when swtiching from one workplace or another. This makes it difficult to see what desktop you are on currently without chaing by a keyobard. It does not matter how I switch desktops teh desktop pager still does not show me being on any desktop when I have not used mouse yet to click on anything. When it show I have my cursor currently over a window in a window and I can still start typing but do not see which desktop I am on. It only shows up when I click on a different window.

I'm also having a Desktop Pager problem...

It will appear and then disappear, the first time to get it working I had to delete it, then add it again to the taskbar, but it's still acting up.

The desktop I'm on I won't see the pager for that desktop, but I'll sometimes see the other desktops for the pager, meaning if I have 4 desktops, and the one I'm on, I'll only see 3 pager boxes instead of all 4, but not matter how many desktops you have, the one you are on always disappears.

Plus I have to constantly scroll back and forth across the desktop to get it to just appear on the taskbar again...

I hope the Desktop Pager will be fixed sometime real soon...

THANKS

Although one work around may be to add the desktop number workplace settings applet to the panel to see what workspace you are on. To do that right click on the panel go to panel settings go to panel applets click add for desktop number/name and add to your desktop you can even put it right next to your desktop switcher.

In 14.04 if using system theme color for panel background (default) it seems that everything is fine, but if you select background image bug is still there.
