apport could possible do better for Python crashes

Bug Description

I haven't thought this through at all, so it could be a dumb suggestion but anyway here goes.

David Malcolm has been doing some very cool work to improve debugging Python crashes with gdb7.

I wonder if there's a way to hook this up with apport to provide better debugging information for crashes in Python applications?
