No easy way to test the various error types

Bug Description

For several of the error types, there is a terminal command you can use to trigger the error and test its handling.

But for some of them this is not possible. For example, the RecoverableError, thread crash, and debconf errors.

This could be fixed by packaging a developer utility that would let you choose which kind of error you want to simulate.

This utility should generate each type of crash, not just the ones that are not possible as one-line commands.

It should also be packaged and uploaded to the main archive.
